My friend and I stayed in the area for Outsidelands weekend and was looking for somewhere to eat. We looked up this spot and decided to give it a try. We came last Sunday, which happened to be a during the farmers market, located in front of the business! We were quickly welcomed and seated anywhere we liked. Menus are underneath the glass table so it never got dirty. Food came out really fast. I appreciate how big imperial rolls were! It was nice and crispy. My friend ordered a small rare steak pho (pho tai). Reasonably priced! I got the grilled lemongrass pork with imperial roll vermicelli bowl. Meat was flavorful and not tough. For $16, it was a generous bowl and I left very full. There is a good selection of items on their menu. Service was fast and employees were so kind and nice. Gotta support those small businesses! Cash and card accepted.

I was in the area (on Clement) this afternoon and I was in the mood for pho. There were three pho restaurants on Clement I was trying to decide which I should went for lunch. Pho Huynh Sang, Mai Vietnamese, Y&Y Vietnamese Cuisine (I know there are more than these three on Clement alone) but I have never been to any of these. So I decided to go to Pho Huynh Sang. The ambiance was authentic, neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant serving pho and standard Vietnamese fare. However their pho was average in my opinion. I've had so many others that's better. This was underwhelming. Broth was cloudy and oily.

An unassuming, no frills, local hidden gem that embodies traditional Vietnamese cuisine done correctly. The portions are generous from the huge imperial roll appetizer to the traditional bowl of Pho. The food is very well done and carries all of the flavors you're looking for with a mom and pop Vietnamese restaurant. The restaurant is quaint, with tables decked out in all the usual sauces and condiments that you're probably expecting. Napkins are kept in a small utility box that you probably had back in elementary school to hold markers and pens. Roll with it -- it's a local spot that is not appealing to influencers and social media, but rather caters for the local clientele that just want a quick, affordable, and delicious meal. You're probably not driving into the city just to eat here, but for a town full of flashy dishes on tiny plates, this place captures big flavor on big plates. Now is this the most memorable Vietnamese spot I've ever had in my life? No. But if you want comforting spot that reminds you of dinner with the family, check this out. You'd be surprised at the affordability for what you're getting. Food hits the spot and is truly "worth it". I will be adding this place into my husband's and I's usual go-to spots

I came to have a quick dinner and was so pleasantly surprised by this place. My bf and I came on a whim and we'll definitely be coming back now. The food we got was so worth it for the price, $29 for two people before tip. Simple atmosphere and service, but it just let the food shine through. My bf got the bun hue chay, or vegetarian version of bun bo hue. It came with lots of fried tofu, tofu skin, vegetarian ham, and a good amount of veggies. The soup was flavorful with a nice lemongrass flavor, and slightly spicy. My bf loved this soup, he is used to maybe only having a bland vegetarian pho on the menu, so this was a new dish for him. I wasn't too hungry so I got the 5 color salad with shrimp, which is not something I usually see on the menu at Vietnamese restaurants. It came with thinly sliced mango, jicama, apple, pickled carrots, cucumber, egg, pumpkin seeds and other crunchy goodies, and a fish sauce dressing. The presentation was so appetizing and showcased the serious knife skills. Wow, this was a complete flavor and texture explosion! Everything mixed together was sweet, savory, tangy with a great crunch in every bite. I added some of the chili sauce and it was absolutely perfect. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and had a nice smoky flavor from the grill. I will definitely be back for a satisfying bowl of soup soon!
